International cooperation and town twinning between the city of Msaken and foreign cities
Ronse
The agreement concluded between the city of Msaken and the city of Ronse on 22 May 1999 enables the exchange of working delegations and visits between residents of both cities. It represents a significant asset for civil society on both sides.
The twinning treaty, concluded under the patronage of the authorities of both countries, derives its strength from the strong commitment of the two municipal councils and their shared pride in raising the level of cooperation to a higher standard.
During a session held on 27 July 1998, a delegation from the city of Msaken, led by the Mayor, visited the city of Ronse from 14 to 18 May 1998. Bilateral meetings revealed a convergence of views and similarities between the two cities, facilitating the establishment of effective cooperation in technical, administrative, and cultural fields.
On Friday, 19 November 1999, in the city of Ronse, the twinning agreement was signed during an extraordinary session of the Ronse Municipal Council by the Mayor of Ronse and the Mayor of Msaken, in the presence of the Tunisian Ambassador and Consul in Belgium.
Anzin
The agreement between the city of Msaken and the city of Anzin was signed on 1 April 2002.
This agreement followed the visit of a French delegation from the city of Anzin to Msaken from 30 March to 2 April 2002, which concluded with the signing of a friendship agreement between the two cities.
The Municipal Council of Msaken held an expanded session on Monday, 1 April 2002 to approve and sign the agreement. During this session, the Mayor of Anzin expressed his satisfaction with the visit, affirming that it heralded a successful and lasting cooperation between the two cities.
